Grandma Moorman's BBQ Ribs

Ingredients
Ribs
3 lbs Thick-cut boneless country-style ribs
1 Sweet onion
1 Orange
1 Lemon
Nutmeg
BBQ Sauce
24oz Ketchup
12oz Chili sauce
1/3 Cup Prepared mustard
1 tsp. Dry mustard
1½ Cup Brown sugar
2 Tbsp. Black pepper
1½ Cups Red wine vinegar
1 Cup Lemon juice
Dash of Tabasco
1/4 Cup Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp. Soy sauce
2 Tbsp. Salad oil
1½ Cups Beer
3 cloves of Garlic
2 tsp. Season salt
Directions
BBQ Sauce
Add ingredients in the order listed to a large pot
Bring to a low boil over medium heat, stir occasionally
reduce heat to simmer, stir occasionally
remove from heat when basting ribs for the first time
Ribs
Preheat Oven to 400
Line ribs in a deep baking tin and dust with Nutmeg
Drizzle 1 lemon worth of juice over ribs
Slice orange and onion and place on top of ribs
Cook ½ hour at 400
Remove and lower temp to 350. Baste ribs with sauce
Cook 1 hour at 350 basting every 15 min
Notes
You can use beef or pork ribs, both taste amazing
The type of beer you use will alter the taste of the sauce. I prefer a red beer, but experiment to see what flavor you like best.
If you want your meat to come out a bit sweeter, you can drizzle with pineapple juice instead of lemon juice.
